Amazon has announced that the Prime Big Deal Days of 2026 will last for 48 hours, from 6 to 7 October 2026. This is Amazon’s deal event, exclusively for Prime members, when you can get personalized deals and money off top brands. But before the event kicks off, Prime members can bag themselves some early promotions before the event officially starts, which are ideal for big readers!

What’s included in Amazon Prime Big Day Deals 2026?

Prime Day’s summer event will always be the bigger one, but it offers solid savings and gives us a good indication of what Black Friday prices will be. Reported early deals include large discounts on Kindle and Echo devices; readers should confirm the live event pages on October 6–7 for final prices — some outlets have flagged similar device deals in past early promotions, but exact prices vary and aren’t universally confirmed. You can get up to 40% off a selection of best-selling books such as Fourth Wing and The Housemaid’s Secret. Discounts are available in over 35 categories, including Amazon’s own technology, cars, and Amazon Music.

If you don’t already use a Kindle, now is the ideal time to start. Eligible new subscribers can get three months of Kindle Unlimited free, giving them immediate access to popular books such as Matt Dinniman’s Dungeon Crawler Carl and Rebecca Yarros’s The Empyrean series. The free trial is only offered to people who have not already used Kindle Unlimited.

If you’re already subscribed, opinions are mixed on Reddit, but users note that promotional eligibility often resets if you have cancelled your membership and gone without the service for a certain duration, typically around 6 to 12 months. Amazon does not publish a fixed 6–12 month rule, but check your Amazon account for current offers.

What can I do if I’m already a Kindle Unlimited user?

It’s not over for active members though, you can still access other savings, such as discounts and other free trials. To check your Amazon account dashboard, check the loyalty page, as Amazon often tailors deals to long-term subscribers. Existing Kindle Unlimited or Audible users should also look at their membership pages to see if there are limited gifting counts on bos and might wish to give their memberships as gifts in order to benefit from the reduced rates. Take time to assess your current reading interests and wishlist—if any titles are on sale, consider using your credits or buying them during this period for added value.

The early sale launch also includes discounts of up to 65% on thousands of physical print books, featuring seasonal titles such as Meredith Hayden’s Wishbone Kitchen cookbook together with early discounts on Kindle hardware and bundled e-reader accessories.

Amazon is likely to offer several of its Kindle e-readers and e-notebooks at reduced prices, with the biggest savings on Black Friday. Although Amazon has not yet announced this year’s specific deals, in previous years it has offered Kindle Paperwhite Essential Bundles for as little as $124.99 (regularly $189.97), including the e-reader, an Amazon-branded case, and a power adapter. The Kindle Scribe Writing Bundle, which includes the device, a Basic or Premium Pen, a cover, and a charger, has previously been reduced by as much as $95 in the past. I love mine, so this is one I’d really recommend picking up if you have the spare cash.

To shop the deals available during Prime Big Deal Days you’ll need a Prime membership. You can join Prime for $14.99 a month or $139 a year, or if you’re eligible, start a free 30-day trial at amazon.com/prime. Amazon also offers discounted Prime memberships for young adults and qualifying government-assistance recipients and income-verified customers. Learn more about Prime membership options.
