Retailers have launched their Labor Day sales, including Amazon’s, which runs through Monday, Sept. 7 and features deals on appliances, tech, sporting goods, and more. I’ve already spent a few hours sifting through the deals on offer, and below I’ve collected the best I’ve found so far.
The best headphones on sale for Labor Day
Looking for a pair of premium headphones at a less-than-premium price? The WH-1000XM5 are a generation old and were at the top of their class until they were supplanted by the XM6. By virtue of being older, they’re currently discounted to $198 (originally $399.99) during the Labor Day sale. That 50% off brings it down to the lowest price they’ve ever reached, a good deal for premium headphones that still sound incredible, even in 2026.

The best Labor Day TV sales
OLEDs are among the best quality TVs around right now, and if you’re able to splurge a little, the LG C6 65-inch OLED is currently $1,200 off. Now $1,499.99, this is its lowest price ever. Even better: Amazon will automatically drop a $150 credit into your account after your purchase. (You have to wait up to 30 days for the credit, and the credit will expire 120 days after you get it.)

The best Labor Day monitor sales
An ultra-wide curved gaming monitor with ridiculous specs is every gamer’s dream, but they (usually) don’t come cheap. But the 57-inch Samsung Odyssey Neo G9, one of the best ultra-wide gaming monitors on the market, is currently on sale for $1,449.99 ($2,499.99 at launch). That’s its second-best discount, according to price-checking tools—and when you consider the fact that you’ll also get a $120 Amazon gift card when you buy it, it looks even better.

The best Labor Day soundbar sales
The Sonos Beam Gen 2 is a compact soundbar perfect for those who don’t have a lot of space but don’t want to sacrifice booming sound. It’s going for $399 right now, which is a $100 discount. It offers Atmos compatibility, eARC and NFC connectivity, and a better processor when compared to the Gen 1, according to CNET’s review, and after the release of the more powerful Sonos Arc Ultra, the Beam Gen 2 is no longer Sonos’ flagship soundbar, which means it’s a good time to get one for less.

Amazon’s best early Labor Day sales on household appliances
Labor Day is also a good time to upgrade your home decor and appliances. I own four of these Dreo ceiling fans myself, and I’ve been very pleased by how well they perform for such affordable, design-forward devices. You can change their light temperature, control the direction of the blades to push or pull air, and the light is dimmable with the controller. They are $20 off right now, bringing them down to around $70.

When do Labor Day sales start?
Labor Day sales have already started and run through Monday, Sept. 7.
Are Labor Day sales worth it?
Labor Day has traditionally been a good time to find deals in many categories, but whether they’re worth it or not depends entirely on what you’re looking for. Compared to sales like Black Friday or Prime Day, Labor Day falls short on volume and quality of discounts, but you might still find a good price on tech or kitchen appliances that will match those holiday prices—or even beat them. (We use price tracking tools to let you know if a deal is worth it or not.)
What other stores have Labor Day sales?
Home Depot, Best Buy, Lowe’s, Wayfair, and Target all have Labor Day sales. (Lifehacker will be rounding up deals for all of these sales.)
